Sol Ahiarah is an associate professor of Business at SUNY College at Buffalo. He holds B.B.A. and M.B.A. degrees from the University of Missouri, Kansas City. His Ph.D. degree is from the University of Pittsburgh. In addition, he is a C.P.A. He earned the first place prize in the 1971 intermediate examination of the England based Association of International Accountants. In 1987, he received the Lilly Endowment Fellowship Award. His research interests are in the areas of Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management, Strategic Management, International and Management Accounting.

Sol’s research and work have been published in The Review of Black Political Economy; The Journal of Private Enterprise; Journal of Business and Economic Perspectives; The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants' (AICPA) Professor/Practitioner Cases; and several conference proceedings. He has also contributed chapters in edited books, and published reviews in Issues in Accounting Education.

Sol is a member of the following: American Institute of CPAs; Missouri Society of CPAs; American Accounting Association; Academy of Management; and the International Academy of African Business and Development.
